Terms of Service
Last Updated: August 23, 2026
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using CanonLog (the "Application"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not install or use the Application.
2. Description of Service
CanonLog is a visual scripture companion and tracker built to help users read, track progress through, and write journal reflections on all 66 books of the Bible. The Application is provided as a personal utility to support spiritual habits.
3. Offline-First & Data Ownership
Your data belongs to you. CanonLog is designed with an offline-first architecture. All reading logs, streak counters, study plans progress, and journal reflections are stored exclusively in your device's local storage.
- No Cloud Storage: We do not transmit, analyze, or back up your journal reflections, notes, or reading progress to our servers.
- Backup Responsibility: Because all data is stored locally, deleting the Application, clearing device caches, or resetting your device will permanently erase your tracking history. You are solely responsible for backing up your data using the JSON export tool provided in the Application's Settings.
4. User Devotions and Privacy
We believe your thoughts, prayers, and journal entries are private. As detailed in our privacy guidelines, we have no access to the logs or reflections you write inside the Application. You agree not to use the Application to store any data that violates local laws.
5. Fees and Open Devotion
Access to core tracking statistics, the Canon Grid, plans progression, and export utilities is provided free of charge. We reserve the right to introduce optional premium features (such as automated cloud sync) in future releases, which will be clearly indicated.
6. Disclaimers and Limitations of Liability
The Application is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any data loss, device issues, or disruptions to your devotional history resulting from app bugs or device changes.
7. Changes to Terms
We may revise these Terms of Service periodically. Continuing to use the Application after revisions are published constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms.
