Privacy Policy
Last Updated: August 23, 2026
1. Our Commitment to Privacy
We believe that your personal devotions, prayers, and scripture tracking reflections should remain completely private. CanonLog (the "Application") is built to ensure you have full, unmonitored ownership of your spiritual journal logs.
2. Zero Telemetry & Local Storage
CanonLog runs as an **offline-first** application.
- No Data Transmission: Any book progress you log, streak counts you accumulate, calendar history records, or reflection notes you write are stored exclusively in your device's local storage.
- No Server Tracking: We do not host, access, analyze, or distribute your data. We run no database servers or diagnostic tracking services that read your logs.
3. Local Backups & Data Portability
Since we do not compile backups on our own servers, you are responsible for maintaining your records. The Application includes an **Export Data** option in the Settings panel which generates a JSON file. You can save, share, or import this file on a new device to transfer your local database.
4. Third-Party App Store Distribution
The Application will be distributed through the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. These distribution platforms may collect basic usage analytics, downloads, or crash diagnostics under their own privacy policies. We recommend reviewing their terms when installing applications.
5. Children's Privacy
Because the Application collects no data, we do not knowingly or unknowingly collect any personal information from children under the age of 13.
6. Changes to this Policy
We may revise this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be published here. By continuing to use the Application, you accept the updated policies.
If you have any questions about this offline privacy design, please contact the project developers through the public GitHub or Twitter resources.
